Description

Ingredients
- 2 bananas (cut in half and sliced lengthwise)
- 2 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp coconut sugar (or brown sugar)
- pinch cinnamon
Instructions
- In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the coconut oil.
- Sprinkle in the coconut sugar and cinnamon, stirring until combined.
- Add the sliced bananas flat side down, arranging them in the pan.
- Cook for about 3 minutes until the bottoms are browned, caramelized, and softened.
- Flip the bananas and cook for another 3 minutes until the other side is caramelized.
- Remove from heat and serve warm over oatmeal, pancakes, waffles, crepes, ice cream, or yogurt.
Notes
- Use ripe but firm bananas for best texture.
- Swap coconut sugar with maple syrup for a slightly different flavor.
- Serve immediately for the best caramelized texture.
