Description
A sweet and tangy 2-ingredient balsamic glaze that enhances a variety of dishes, ready in just 12 minutes.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
- 3 tablespoons lightly packed brown sugar
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar and brown sugar until the sugar dissolves.
- Pour the mixture into a saucepan and bring it to a gentle boil over low-medium heat.
- Reduce the heat and let it simmer until the liquid reduces by half, about 12 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
- Once reduced, remove from heat and let the glaze cool completely before using or storing.
Notes
- Do not overcook; the glaze should be thickened but still slightly runny as it thickens more while cooling.
- Store in a clean glass jar in the refrigerator for up to three weeks.
