Description

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons lightly packed brown sugar

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together the balsamic vinegar and brown sugar until the sugar dissolves.
  2. Pour the mixture into a saucepan and bring it to a gentle boil over low-medium heat.
  3. Reduce the heat and let it simmer until the liquid reduces by half, about 12 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent burning.
  4. Once reduced, remove from heat and let the glaze cool completely before using or storing.

Notes

  • Do not overcook; the glaze should be thickened but still slightly runny as it thickens more while cooling.
