Description

These crispy and flavorful air-fried spring rolls are filled with a savory mix of vegetables and pork, making them a healthier alternative to traditional deep-fried versions. Perfect as an appetizer or snack.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup shredded green cabbage
  • 1/2 cup sliced scallions
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 12 spring roll wrappers
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (slurry for sealing)
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground pork until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add shredded carrots, cabbage, scallions, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper to the skillet. Cook for 3–4 minutes until vegetables are slightly tender. Remove from heat and let cool.
  3. Lay out one spring roll wrapper with a corner facing you. Place 2 tablespoons of filling near the bottom corner.
  4. Fold the corner over the filling, roll tightly halfway, fold in the sides, and continue rolling. Brush the top corner with cornstarch slurry to seal.
  5. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
  6. Preheat the air fryer to 390°F.
  7. Lightly spray spring rolls with cooking spray and place in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  8. Air fry for 10–12 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
  9. Serve warm with dipping sauce of choice.

Notes

  • Ensure wrappers are tightly rolled to prevent bursting during cooking.
  • You can substitute pork with ground chicken or tofu for a vegetarian option.
  • Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket for best crisping results.
