Description
These crispy and flavorful air-fried spring rolls are filled with a savory mix of vegetables and pork, making them a healthier alternative to traditional deep-fried versions. Perfect as an appetizer or snack.
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 1 cup shredded carrots
- 1 cup shredded green cabbage
- 1/2 cup sliced scallions
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 12 spring roll wrappers
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (slurry for sealing)
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- In a medium skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground pork until browned and fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
- Add shredded carrots, cabbage, scallions, soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper to the skillet. Cook for 3–4 minutes until vegetables are slightly tender. Remove from heat and let cool.
- Lay out one spring roll wrapper with a corner facing you. Place 2 tablespoons of filling near the bottom corner.
- Fold the corner over the filling, roll tightly halfway, fold in the sides, and continue rolling. Brush the top corner with cornstarch slurry to seal.
- Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
- Preheat the air fryer to 390°F.
- Lightly spray spring rolls with cooking spray and place in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Air fry for 10–12 minutes, turning halfway through, until golden brown and crispy.
- Serve warm with dipping sauce of choice.
Notes
- Ensure wrappers are tightly rolled to prevent bursting during cooking.
- You can substitute pork with ground chicken or tofu for a vegetarian option.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket for best crisping results.
