Description

These Air Fryer Buffalo Chicken Meatballs are a spicy, flavorful, and healthy appetizer or main dish made with ground chicken, buffalo sauce, and simple seasonings. Perfect for game day or an easy weeknight meal, they’re juicy inside with a crispy exterior thanks to the air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup buffalo wing sauce (plus extra for serving)
  • Ranch or blue cheese dressing, for serving (optional)
  • Chopped parsley or green onions, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix until just combined.
  3. Use a cookie scoop or your hands to form the mixture into 1 to 1.5-inch meatballs.
  4. Place meatballs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they don’t touch. Cook in batches if needed.
  5. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, shaking halfway through, until the meatballs are cooked through and golden brown.
  6. Transfer cooked meatballs to a bowl and toss with 1/2 cup buffalo sauce until evenly coated.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with parsley or green onions if desired, and with ranch or blue cheese dressing on the side.

Notes

  • Adjust the level of buffalo sauce to your spice preference.
  • For crispier meatballs, spray them lightly with cooking spray before air frying.
  • You can use ground turkey instead of chicken if preferred.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
