Ingredients
- 2 cups pecan halves
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup water
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the granulated sugar and water.
- Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar has completely dissolved and the mixture forms a syrup-like consistency.
- Add the pecan halves to the saucepan and stir until they are evenly coated with the sugar syrup.
- Preheat your air fryer to 300°F (150°C).
- Transfer the coated pecans to the air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure they are not overlapping.
- Air fry the pecans for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time.
- Keep a close eye on the pecans during the last few minutes to prevent burning.
- Once golden brown and caramelized, remove pecans and transfer to a parchment-lined baking sheet to cool completely.
- Allow them to cool and harden before serving or storing in an airtight container.
Notes
- Watch closely during the last few minutes of air frying to avoid burning.
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
- Use as a topping for salads, desserts, or yogurt.
