Description

These air fryer donut bites are soft, fluffy, and coated in cinnamon sugar, making them a quick and delicious treat without the need for deep frying.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup milk (any kind)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter or oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup sugar (for coating)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (for coating)
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (for coating)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  2. Add the milk, melted butter (or oil), and vanilla extract. Stir until just combined into a thick batter.
  3. Use a small cookie scoop or spoon to form dough into bite-sized balls.
  4. Lightly grease the air fryer basket or use parchment paper with holes.
  5. Place the dough balls in the air fryer, leaving some space between each.
  6. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 6–8 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. While donut bites are frying, mix the sugar and cinnamon for coating in a small bowl.
  8. Brush warm donut bites with melted butter, then roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Do not overmix the batter to keep the donut bites soft and fluffy.
  • Best enjoyed fresh, but can be stored in an airtight container for 1–2 days.
  • You can use a dairy-free milk and vegan butter to make this recipe vegan-friendly.
  • Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket.
