Description
These crispy and tangy air fryer fried pickles are a delicious appetizer or snack made with dill pickle chips coated in seasoned breadcrumbs and cooked to perfection without the need for deep frying.
Ingredients
- 16 oz dill pickle chips, drained and patted dry
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the pickle chips dry using paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- Place flour in one bowl. In a second bowl, beat the eggs with water. In a third bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Dredge each pickle chip in flour, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Press gently to adhere.
- Arrange the coated pickle chips in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd.
- Lightly spray the pickles with cooking spray.
- Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
