Description

These crispy and tangy air fryer fried pickles are a delicious appetizer or snack made with dill pickle chips coated in seasoned breadcrumbs and cooked to perfection without the need for deep frying.


Ingredients

  • 16 oz dill pickle chips, drained and patted dry
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Pat the pickle chips dry using paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  3. Place flour in one bowl. In a second bowl, beat the eggs with water. In a third bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. Dredge each pickle chip in flour, then dip in the egg mixture, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Press gently to adhere.
  5. Arrange the coated pickle chips in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd.
  6. Lightly spray the pickles with cooking spray.
  7. Air fry for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  8. Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce.
