This Air Fryer Grilled Cheese is a quick and easy way to make a crispy, golden-brown sandwich with gooey melted cheese inside, all without using a stovetop or skillet.
Ingredients
- 2 slices of bread
- 1–2 teaspoons mayonnaise
- 2 slices of cheese (like American, Cheddar, or your choice)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 360°F (182°C).
- Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place the cheese slices between the un-mayoed sides of the bread to form a sandwich, with the mayo sides facing out.
- Place the sandwich in the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 4–5 minutes, then flip the sandwich and cook for an additional 3–4 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove from air fryer and let sit for 1–2 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- You can use butter instead of mayonnaise if preferred.
- Adjust the cooking time based on the thickness of your bread and type of air fryer.
