Description

These Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers are a quick and easy appetizer made with jalapeños stuffed with a cheesy, creamy filling and topped with crispy bacon. Perfectly cooked in the air fryer for a crispy texture without deep frying.


Ingredients

  • 6 jalapeños, halved and seeds removed
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 tbsp chopped green onions (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 370 degrees F.
  2. Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes.
  3. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
  4. Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half, filling them evenly.
  5. Top each filled jalapeño with crumbled cooked bacon.
  6. Place the jalapeño poppers in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
  7. Cook at 370 degrees F for 6 to 8 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the tops are golden and bubbly.
  8. Carefully remove from the air fryer and garnish with chopped green onions if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Use gloves when handling jalapeños to avoid skin irritation.
  • For a vegetarian version, omit the bacon or use plant-based bacon.
  • You can prepare these ahead of time and air fry when ready to serve.
