Description
These Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers are a quick and easy appetizer made with jalapeños stuffed with a cheesy, creamy filling and topped with crispy bacon. Perfectly cooked in the air fryer for a crispy texture without deep frying.
Ingredients
- 6 jalapeños, halved and seeds removed
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 2 tbsp chopped green onions (optional garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 370 degrees F.
- Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and membranes.
- In a bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth.
- Spoon the cheese mixture into each jalapeño half, filling them evenly.
- Top each filled jalapeño with crumbled cooked bacon.
- Place the jalapeño poppers in the air fryer basket in a single layer.
- Cook at 370 degrees F for 6 to 8 minutes, or until the peppers are tender and the tops are golden and bubbly.
- Carefully remove from the air fryer and garnish with chopped green onions if desired. Serve warm.
Notes
- Use gloves when handling jalapeños to avoid skin irritation.
- For a vegetarian version, omit the bacon or use plant-based bacon.
- You can prepare these ahead of time and air fry when ready to serve.
