Description

These crispy and golden air fryer potato stacks are thinly sliced potatoes layered with butter, garlic, and seasoning, then cooked to perfection in the air fryer. They’re gluten-free and perfect as a side dish or party appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 800g Maris Piper potatoes
  • 3 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves (crushed)
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Peel the potatoes and thinly slice them using a mandolin or sharp knife.
  2. In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, olive oil, crushed garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add the potato slices to the bowl and toss to evenly coat them in the mixture.
  4. Stack the potato slices into silicone muffin cases, layering them tightly.
  5. Place the filled muffin cases into the air fryer basket.
  6. Cook at 180°C (356°F) for 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy on top and soft in the middle.
  7. Optional: Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.

Notes

  • You can use dried thyme if fresh isn’t available.
  • Silicone muffin cases help keep the stacks intact and prevent sticking.
  • Add Parmesan at the end for extra flavor.
  • Check doneness by inserting a knife into the center; it should glide through easily.
