Description
These crispy and golden air fryer potato stacks are thinly sliced potatoes layered with butter, garlic, and seasoning, then cooked to perfection in the air fryer. They’re gluten-free and perfect as a side dish or party appetizer.
Ingredients
- 800g Maris Piper potatoes
- 3 tbsp butter (melted)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves (crushed)
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Peel the potatoes and thinly slice them using a mandolin or sharp knife.
- In a large bowl, mix the melted butter, olive oil, crushed garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Add the potato slices to the bowl and toss to evenly coat them in the mixture.
- Stack the potato slices into silicone muffin cases, layering them tightly.
- Place the filled muffin cases into the air fryer basket.
- Cook at 180°C (356°F) for 20-25 minutes until golden and crispy on top and soft in the middle.
- Optional: Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese before serving.
Notes
- You can use dried thyme if fresh isn’t available.
- Silicone muffin cases help keep the stacks intact and prevent sticking.
- Add Parmesan at the end for extra flavor.
- Check doneness by inserting a knife into the center; it should glide through easily.
