Ingredients
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
- Non-stick cooking spray
- Sweet chili sauce, for serving
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F for 5 minutes.
- Season the shrimp with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika.
- Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs.
- Coat each shrimp in flour, then dip in the egg, and finally coat with panko breadcrumbs.
- Place the breaded shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Spray lightly with non-stick cooking spray.
- Air fry for 8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until shrimp are golden brown and crispy.
- Serve immediately with sweet chili sauce for dipping.
Notes
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary.
- For extra crispiness, lightly spray the shrimp with oil before cooking.
- Use tail-on shrimp for a nicer presentation, if desired.
