Description

These crispy and healthy air fryer spring rolls are filled with vegetables and cooked without oil. Perfect as an appetizer, snack, or light meal, they’re easy to make and incredibly flavorful.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 cups green cabbage, shredded
  • 1 cup carrots, shredded
  • 1/2 cup scallions, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or tamari for gluten-free)
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 8 to 10 spring roll wrappers
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. Heat sesame oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds.
  2. Add cabbage, carrots, and scallions. Cook for 4–5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until vegetables soften.
  3. Stir in soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and rice vinegar. Cook for another 1–2 minutes. Remove from heat and let the filling cool.
  4. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Place a spring roll wrapper on a flat surface. Add 2–3 tablespoons of filling. Fold and roll tightly, sealing the edge with a little water.
  6. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
  7. Lightly spray the spring rolls with olive oil spray and place them in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
  8. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  9. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Notes

  • Make sure not to overcrowd the air fryer basket for even crisping.
  • Use tamari instead of soy sauce to make this recipe gluten-free.
  • Can be served with sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, or peanut sauce.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
