Description

These Apple Cinnamon Breakfast Bars are a wholesome and delicious grab-and-go breakfast option made with oats, apples, and warm spices. Perfect for busy mornings or a healthy snack.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp melted coconut oil
  • 1 cup peeled and finely chopped apple (about 1 medium apple)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or grease lightly.
  2. In a large bowl, mix oats, almond flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and baking soda.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together applesauce, maple syrup, egg, vanilla extract, and melted coconut oil until smooth.
  4. Combine wet ingredients with dry ingredients and mix until fully incorporated.
  5. Fold in the chopped apple.
  6. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
  8. Let cool completely in the pan before slicing into bars.
