Ingredients

- 2 cups unsweetened almond milk (or water)

- Pinch of sea salt

Instructions
- Add oats, almond milk, chopped apple, cinnamon, vanilla, maple syrup (if using), and a pinch of sea salt to a medium saucepan over medium-high heat.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer, stirring frequently, for 8–10 minutes or until the oats are tender and the oatmeal has thickened.
- If using, stir in ground flaxseed once the oatmeal is cooked.
