Description

This creamy cilantro lime sauce is a zesty, tangy condiment made with fresh herbs, lime juice, and Greek yogurt or sour cream. Perfect as a dip, dressing, or topping for tacos, salads, grilled meats, and more.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cilantro (loosely packed, stems removed)
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt or sour cream
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 12 tablespoons water (as needed for consistency)

Instructions

  1. Add cilantro, Greek yogurt (or sour cream), garlic, lime juice, salt, and olive oil to a blender or food processor.
  2. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.
  3. If the sauce is too thick, add 1–2 tablespoons of water and blend again to reach desired consistency.
  4. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed before serving.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
  • Use as a dip, spread, salad dressing, or taco topping.
  • You can substitute sour cream with Greek yogurt for a healthier version.
  • Blending time may vary based on the power of your blender or food processor.
