Description
This Baked Crunchy Hot Honey Chicken combines crispy, tender chicken with a sweet and spicy hot honey sauce, making it the perfect dish for any occasion.
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
1/4 cup hot honey
2 tbsp butter
1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a shallow bowl, mix together the panko breadcrumbs, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk the eggs.
- Dip each chicken breast first in the flour, then in the beaten eggs, and finally coat them in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure the coating sticks.
- Place the coated chicken breasts on the prepared baking sheet. Drizzle olive oil over the top of the chicken to help it crisp up while baking.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the coating is golden brown and crispy.
- While the chicken bakes, prepare the hot honey sauce. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the hot honey and red pepper flakes (if using). Cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce is warm and combined.
- Once the chicken is done, remove it from the oven and drizzle the hot honey sauce over the top.
- Serve hot and enjoy the crispy, sweet, and spicy flavors!

- For extra spice, increase the red pepper flakes or add hot sauce to the hot honey sauce.
- For juicier chicken, you can swap chicken breasts for boneless, skinless chicken thighs.
