Ingredients
- 4 cod fillets (about 6 oz each)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Lemon slices, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Place the cod fillets in a lightly greased baking dish. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, lemon juice, minced garlic, and paprika.
- Pour the butter mixture evenly over the cod fillets.
- Bake the cod for 15–20 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and lemon slices before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh cod for best results, but frozen (and thawed) works too.
- Adjust the garlic and lemon to your taste preferences.
- Serve with rice, vegetables, or a light salad for a complete meal.
