Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 1/2 cups white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt cake pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in the mashed bananas, buttermilk, and vanilla extract.
- In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
