Description

This easy banana ice cream, also known as “nice cream,” is a creamy, naturally sweet, dairy-free dessert made with just frozen bananas and blended until smooth.

Ingredients

  • 4 large ripe bananas, sliced and frozen

Instructions

  1. Peel the ripe bananas and slice them into thin rounds.
  2. Place the banana slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for at least 1–2 hours, or until completely frozen.
  3. Add the frozen banana slices to a high-powered blender or food processor.
  4. Blend until smooth and creamy, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed. The bananas will go from crumbly to creamy as you blend.
  5. Serve immediately for a soft-serve texture, or transfer to a container and freeze for 1–2 hours for a firmer consistency.

Notes

  • Use very ripe bananas with brown spots for the sweetest flavor.
  • If the bananas are difficult to blend, let them thaw for a few minutes before processing.
  • Add optional mix-ins like cocoa powder, peanut butter, vanilla extract, or berries for flavor variations.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the freezer and let soften slightly before serving.
