Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
- In a mixing bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
- Stir in the melted butter, then mix in the sugar.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract and mix until combined.
- Sprinkle the baking soda and salt over the mixture and stir.
- Gently fold in the flour until just combined; do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 55–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let cool before slicing.
Notes
- Use very ripe bananas for the best flavor and sweetness.
- You can add chopped nuts or chocolate chips for variation.
- Store banana bread at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for longer freshness.
