  • ¼ cup flour (gluten free if needed)
  • 3 cups vegetable broth/stock

Instructions

  1. Melt vegan butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
  2. Add onion powder, soy sauce, and flour. Stir to form a smooth paste.
  3. Gradually add vegetable broth about ¼ cup at a time, stirring well between each addition to prevent lumps.
  4. Once all liquid is added, increase heat until the mixture begins to bubble. Reduce slightly and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened. Add a splash of water if it becomes too thick.
