Ingredients
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
- Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until it turns golden brown and smells nutty. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, whisk together browned butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition, then mix in vanilla extract.
- Sift in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Fold until just combined.
- Stir in chocolate chips.
- Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool completely before slicing and serving.
