Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring until it turns golden brown and smells nutty. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together browned butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition, then mix in vanilla extract.
  5. Sift in cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Fold until just combined.
  6. Stir in chocolate chips.
  7. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
  9. Allow to cool completely before slicing and serving.
