Ingredients
- 1 loaf French bread (or Italian bread)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the loaf of bread in half lengthwise and place both halves on a baking sheet, cut side up.
- In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, dried parsley, dried oregano, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bread.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese and grated Parmesan cheese over the buttered bread.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly, and the bread is golden brown on the edges.
- Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
- Slice and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the butter mixture.
- You can use a blend of cheeses like provolone or cheddar for variation.
