These Deep-Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Wonton Bites are a fun and indulgent dessert that combines creamy cheesecake filling with sweet strawberries, all wrapped in crispy wonton wrappers. Perfect for parties or a sweet treat anytime.
Ingredients
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup diced fresh or frozen strawberries (thawed and drained if frozen)
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp cornstarch (optional)
- 20–24 wonton wrappers
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Oil for deep frying (canola, vegetable, or peanut oil)
- Optional toppings: powdered sugar, chocolate sauce, whipped cream
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- In a small saucepan, cook strawberries and sugar over medium heat until the strawberries break down and the mixture thickens slightly. Add cornstarch if needed. Let the mixture cool.
- Lay out wonton wrappers and place a small spoonful of cheesecake filling in the center, followed by a small amount of strawberry mixture.
- Brush the edges of the wrapper with beaten egg, then fold into a triangle or bring all corners together to form a purse shape. Seal edges firmly.
- Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry wonton bites in batches until golden brown, about 2–3 minutes per side.
- Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
- Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with chocolate sauce before serving, if desired.
