Description

These Deep-Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Wonton Bites are a fun and indulgent dessert that combines creamy cheesecake filling with sweet strawberries, all wrapped in crispy wonton wrappers. Perfect for parties or a sweet treat anytime.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup diced fresh or frozen strawberries (thawed and drained if frozen)
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch (optional)
  • 2024 wonton wrappers
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Oil for deep frying (canola, vegetable, or peanut oil)
  • Optional toppings: powdered sugar, chocolate sauce, whipped cream

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  2. In a small saucepan, cook strawberries and sugar over medium heat until the strawberries break down and the mixture thickens slightly. Add cornstarch if needed. Let the mixture cool.
  3. Lay out wonton wrappers and place a small spoonful of cheesecake filling in the center, followed by a small amount of strawberry mixture.
  4. Brush the edges of the wrapper with beaten egg, then fold into a triangle or bring all corners together to form a purse shape. Seal edges firmly.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Fry wonton bites in batches until golden brown, about 2–3 minutes per side.
  7. Remove from oil and drain on paper towels.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with chocolate sauce before serving, if desired.
