Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 tbsp butter, divided
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese (for sauce)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Flatten chicken breasts to an even thickness if needed.
  3. Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with a mix of Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs.
  4. Coat each chicken breast in flour, dip in egg, then press into the Parmesan-breadcrumb mixture to coat thoroughly.
  5. Heat olive oil and 2 tbsp butter in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat.
  6. Cook chicken breasts for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
  7. Transfer skillet to oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  8. While chicken bakes, prepare the sauce: In a saucepan, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium heat.
  9. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  10. Pour in chicken broth and heavy cream, bring to a simmer.
  11. Add 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until melted and smooth.
  12. Season with salt and pepper to taste, and let the sauce thicken slightly.
  13. Remove chicken from oven, plate, and drizzle with creamy garlic sauce.
  14. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired and serve warm.
