Description

These Roast Beef Sliders are the perfect crowd-pleasing appetizer or game day snack, made with melty cheese, savory roast beef, and a buttery glaze on soft Hawaiian rolls.

Ingredients

  • 1 (12-count) package Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 pound deli roast beef, thinly sliced
  • 8 ounces provolone or Swiss cheese, sliced
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon poppy seeds
  • 1 tablespoon dried minced onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Without separating the rolls, slice the package of rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves in the prepared baking dish.
  3. Layer the roast beef evenly over the bottom halves, followed by the cheese slices. Place the top halves of the rolls back on.
  4. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, poppy seeds, dried minced onion, salt, and pepper. Cook for 1-2 minutes until combined.
  5. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the sliders.
  6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
  7. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  8. Remove from oven, let cool slightly, then cut and serve warm.

Notes

  • Use Swiss or provolone cheese depending on your flavor preference.
  • These sliders can be assembled ahead of time and baked just before serving.
  • You can substitute turkey or ham for roast beef if desired.
