Description

Sticky Garlic Chicken Noodles are a flavorful, easy-to-make dish featuring tender chicken, chewy noodles, and a sweet-savory garlic sauce. It’s a perfect weeknight dinner that comes together quickly and satisfies your craving for takeout-style noodles.

Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts, sliced thin
  • 200g egg noodles (or any preferred noodles)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water (for slurry)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil (for cooking)
  • Spring onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and sesame oil to make the sauce.
  3. In another small bowl, mix cornstarch and water to make a slurry.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add sliced chicken and cook until browned and cooked through.
  5. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan, sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. Pour the sauce mixture into the pan with the chicken, stir well.
  7. Add the cornstarch slurry and cook until the sauce thickens and becomes sticky.
  8. Add the cooked noodles to the pan and toss everything together until well coated.
  9. Garnish with chopped spring onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • Use chicken thighs instead of breasts for a juicier texture.
  • Adjust the soy sauces based on your salt preference.
  • Add vegetables like bell peppers or broccoli for extra nutrition.
