Description

This Strawberry Cobbler is a simple and sweet dessert made with fresh strawberries and a buttery, biscuit-like topping. Perfect for spring and summer gatherings, it’s easy to make and full of juicy berry flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Pour the melted butter into a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  3. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and 3/4 cup of the sugar.
  4. Add the milk and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
  5. Pour the batter over the melted butter in the baking dish. Do not stir.
  6. Evenly distribute the sliced strawberries over the batter.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup sugar over the strawberries.
  8. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the batter comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Best served warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

  • You can substitute frozen strawberries if fresh aren’t available – just thaw and drain them first.
  • Try adding a splash of lemon juice or zest to enhance the strawberry flavor.
  • This cobbler is best served fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
