This Big Mac Salad is a low-carb, keto-friendly twist on the classic fast food burger. Packed with ground beef, crisp lettuce, cheddar cheese, pickles, onions, and a creamy ‘special sauce’, it’s a quick and satisfying meal that delivers all the Big Mac flavor without the bun.
Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 head iceberg lettuce, chopped
- 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup dill pickles, diced
- 1/4 cup red onion, diced
- 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing (or homemade special sauce)
Instructions
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat. Season with salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder. Cook until no longer pink, then drain excess fat.
- Chop the iceberg lettuce and place it in a large salad bowl.
- Add shredded cheddar cheese, diced pickles, and diced red onion to the bowl.
- Add the cooked ground beef on top of the salad ingredients.
- Drizzle Thousand Island dressing or homemade special sauce over the salad.
- Toss everything together until well combined and serve immediately.
