Description
Biscuits and Sausage Gravy Breakfast Pizza combines the comfort of a southern breakfast with the fun twist of a pizza. It’s topped with sausage gravy, scrambled eggs, cheese, and crispy sausage on fluffy biscuit dough, perfect for breakfast or brunch.
Ingredients
1 can refrigerated biscuit dough
1 pound breakfast sausage
2 tablespoons butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 cups whole milk
Salt and pepper to taste
4 large eggs, scrambled
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the refrigerated biscuit dough on a greased pizza pan or baking sheet, pressing it out to form a pizza crust.
- Bake the biscuit dough for about 8-10 minutes, until golden brown.
- While the dough is baking, cook the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbled, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the sausage and set it aside.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour to make a roux, cooking for about 1-2 minutes until it’s slightly golden.
- Slowly add the milk to the roux, stirring continuously until the gravy thickens, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Remove the gravy from the heat and fold in the cooked sausage.
- Once the biscuit dough is baked, remove it from the oven and spread the sausage gravy evenly over the pizza crust.
- Top the gravy with scrambled eggs, followed by a generous sprinkle of cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
- Return the pizza to the oven and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Slice, serve, and enjoy!
