This Healthy Breakfast Apple Crumble is a wholesome, naturally sweetened dish made with oats, apples, and warming spices—perfect for a cozy morning or a nutritious dessert.
Ingredients
- 4 apples, chopped
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tbsp maple syrup (optional)
- 1 tsp coconut oil (for greasing)
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup almond flour
- 1/4 cup coconut oil, melted
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a small baking dish with 1 tsp coconut oil.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped apples, 1 tsp cinnamon, nutmeg, and 1 tbsp maple syrup if using. Mix well.
- Spread the apple mixture evenly in the greased baking dish.
- In another bowl, combine the oats, almond flour, melted coconut oil, 1/4 cup maple syrup, 1/2 tsp cinnamon, and salt. Mix until crumbly.
- Sprinkle the crumble mixture evenly over the apples.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes or until the top is golden and the apples are soft.
- Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or cold.
Notes
- You can skip the added maple syrup in the apple mixture if your apples are sweet enough.
- Best served warm, but also delicious cold.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
