Description
This Brown Sugar Fudge is a rich, creamy, old-fashioned treat made with simple ingredients like brown sugar, butter, and evaporated milk. It’s perfect for holidays, gift-giving, or satisfying your sweet tooth with a nostalgic homemade candy.
Ingredients
- 2 cups packed brown sugar
 - 1 cup evaporated milk
 - 2 tablespoons butter
 - 1/4 teaspoon salt
 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
- Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it. Set aside.
 - In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, evaporated milk, butter, and salt.
 - Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring constantly.
 - Reduce the heat to medium-low and continue to cook, stirring frequently, until the mixture reaches the soft-ball stage (about 234°F to 240°F on a candy thermometer).
 - Remove from heat and let it cool for 5 minutes without stirring.
 - Add the vanilla extract and beat the mixture vigorously with a wooden spoon until it thickens and starts to lose its gloss (this may take several minutes).
 - Quickly pour the fudge into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
 - Let it cool completely at room temperature, then cut into squares and serve.

Notes
- Use a candy thermometer for best results to ensure proper consistency.
 - Stir constantly to prevent scorching.
 - You can add chopped nuts if desired for extra texture.
