Description

These brownie protein balls are a healthy, no-bake snack made with wholesome ingredients like almond butter, protein powder, cocoa powder, and dates. They’re perfect for a quick energy boost or post-workout treat.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup packed Medjool dates, pitted (about 12 dates)
  • 1 cup almond butter
  • 1/2 cup chocolate protein powder
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp water (if needed, to help with blending)

Instructions

  1. Soak dates in hot water for 5–10 minutes if they are dry, then drain.
  2. Add dates, almond butter, protein powder, cocoa powder, and salt to a food processor.
  3. Blend until a sticky dough forms. If it’s too dry, add water one tablespoon at a time until it combines.
  4. Stir in the mini chocolate chips by hand.
  5. Use a cookie scoop or your hands to roll the mixture into bite-sized balls.
  6. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week.

Notes

  • If your dates are dry, soaking them in hot water helps soften them.
  • You can substitute almond butter with any nut or seed butter.
  • Use your favorite chocolate protein powder for best taste.
  • Keep refrigerated for longer shelf life.
