Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup hot water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Stir in hot water until the batter is well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow to cool before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute milk with plant-based alternatives.
- Add chocolate chips for extra richness.
