Description

These Buttery Cheese Garlic Rolls are soft, fluffy, and packed with savory flavor. Filled with garlic butter and melty cheese, they make the perfect side for any meal or a delicious snack on their own.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2¼ teaspoons instant yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ¾ cup warm milk
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (mozzarella or cheddar)
  • 2 tablespoons garlic butter (for filling and brushing)
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, instant yeast, sugar, and salt.
  2. Add warm milk and melted butter. Mix to form a soft dough and knead for 6–8 minutes until smooth.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rise for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  4. Punch down the dough and divide it into equal portions (6–8 pieces).
  5. Flatten each piece, spread a little garlic butter and shredded cheese inside, then roll into a ball, sealing the edges.
  6. Place rolls in a greased baking pan and cover. Let rise again for 30–45 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  8. Brush the tops with garlic butter and bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Brush with more garlic butter after baking and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

  • You can use any melty cheese like mozzarella, cheddar, or a mix.
  • For stronger garlic flavor, add minced garlic to the butter.
  • Make-ahead tip: Prepare rolls and refrigerate before second rise. Bake when ready.
