Description

These crispy cabbage patties are a simple and delicious way to enjoy cabbage, combining it with onions, eggs, and seasoning for a quick pan-fried treat.


Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups grated cabbage
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • Spoon of bacon grease or oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Combine grated cabbage, chopped onion, flour, salt, pepper, and beaten eggs in a mixing bowl.
  2. Heat a cast iron skillet over medium heat and add bacon grease or oil.
  3. Spoon the cabbage mixture into the skillet, flattening slightly to form patties.
  4. Fry each patty for 2–3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  5. Remove patties from the skillet and drain on paper towels.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
