Description

These Caramel Apple Fritter Bites are mini, deep-fried treats packed with chopped apples and topped with a rich caramel glaze. Perfect for fall snacking or dessert!


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chopped apples
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, beat the egg with milk and vanilla extract.
  3. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until you get a batter. Fold in the chopped apples.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Drop spoonfuls of the fritter batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Remove the fritter bites and let them drain on paper towels.
  7. In a saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, butter, and milk.
  8. Bring the mixture to a boil and cook for about 2 minutes.
  9. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and salt.
  10. Drizzle the caramel glaze over the fritter bites and dust with powdered sugar.
