Description
This homemade cashew butter recipe is ultra creamy, slightly sweet, and easy to make with just one ingredient—roasted cashews. Perfect as a spread, dip, or ingredient in sauces and baked goods.
Ingredients
- 16 ounces (about 3 cups) roasted cashews, unsalted
Instructions
- Add the roasted cashews to a high-powered food processor or blender.
- Process the cashews, pausing to scrape down the sides as needed. First, they’ll become crumbs, then form a ball, and eventually turn into smooth and creamy butter. This may take 5 to 10 minutes.
- Continue processing until the butter is very smooth and glossy. If desired, you can add optional flavorings like salt, cinnamon, vanilla, or maple syrup at the end and blend until combined.
- Transfer the cashew butter to an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for freshness.
Notes
- You can use raw cashews and roast them yourself at 350°F for about 10 minutes.
- Optional add-ins include salt, cinnamon, vanilla extract, or maple syrup for extra flavor.
- For best texture, use a high-powered food processor.
