Description

These Cheddar Bay Biscuits are a perfect copycat of the famous Red Lobster biscuits! Soft, fluffy, and cheesy, they’re infused with garlic and topped with a buttery, herb-infused glaze. Quick and easy to make, these biscuits are a must-have side dish that will elevate any meal, especially seafood!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • ¾ teaspoon kosher salt, divided
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter ( sticks), divided
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 8 oz shredded mild cheddar cheese
  • ½ teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Melt 1 stick (½ cup) of butter in a microwave-safe bowl and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, garlic powder, and ½ teaspoon salt.
  4. Add the melted butter and milk to the dry ingredients. Whisk gently until just combined—do not overmix.
  5. Fold in the shredded cheddar cheese with a spoon.
  6. Drop heaping spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown.
  8. While the biscuits are baking, melt the remaining ¼ cup butter. Stir in ¼ teaspoon salt and parsley.
  9. Once the biscuits are out of the oven, brush them with the melted butter mixture. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For an even cheesier biscuit, feel free to add more shredded cheddar to the dough.
  • These biscuits are perfect alongside pasta, seafood, or a simple salad.
  • They’re best served warm, right out of the oven, but can be stored in an airtight container for a couple of days and reheated.
