Description

Cheesecake deviled strawberries are a fun, bite-sized twist on the classic dessert. They feature sweet, ripe strawberries filled with a creamy cheesecake filling, making them a perfect treat for any occasion.

Ingredients

1 pint of fresh strawberries, washed and hulled

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 cup sour cream

2 tbsp heavy cream

Optional: crushed graham crackers, chocolate shavings, or fresh mint for garnish

Instructions

  1. Begin by washing and hulling the strawberries. Slice a small portion off the bottom of each strawberry to make them stand upright. Using a paring knife, carefully hollow out the center of each strawberry, being sure not to pierce the sides.
  2. In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, sour cream, and heavy cream to the cream cheese mixture. Continue mixing until everything is well combined and smooth.
  4. Use a piping bag or a spoon to fill each hollowed strawberry with the cheesecake mixture. Be generous, filling each one to the top.
  5. If desired, garnish with crushed graham crackers, chocolate shavings, or fresh mint for an extra touch of flavor and decoration.
  6. Serve immediately, or refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

  1. This recipe yields about 12-15 stuffed strawberries, depending on the size of the berries.
  2. The cheesecake filling can be made ahead of time and refrigerated for up to 1 day.
  3. For a gluten-free version, skip the graham cracker garnish or use gluten-free graham cracker crumbs.
  4. Best enjoyed within 1-2 days for optimal freshness.
