Description

Cheesy Dynamite Chicken Buns are a savory and irresistible treat that combines tender, flavorful chicken with a gooey cheese filling, all wrapped in soft, pillowy buns. Perfect for snacks, appetizers, or unique meals.

Ingredients

1 lb chicken breast, cooked and shredded

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

1 tablespoon butter, melted

1 package of soft dinner rolls (or your preferred bun option)

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1 tablespoon onion powder

1 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh cilantro, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the shredded chicken, mayonnaise, sriracha sauce, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well incorporated.
  3. Cut the dinner rolls in half horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms intact.
  4. Spoon a generous amount of the chicken and cheese mixture onto the bottom half of each bun.
  5. Place the tops of the buns back on and brush the melted butter over the tops of the buns.
  6. Arrange the filled buns in the prepared baking dish.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the buns are golden and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Garnish with fresh cilantro, if desired, and serve hot.

Notes

  1. For extra heat, increase the amount of sriracha or add cayenne pepper.
  2. Swap chicken for a plant-based substitute for a vegetarian version.
  3. Try different cheese combinations like cheddar, gouda, or cream cheese for varied flavors.
  4. If you don’t have dinner rolls, slider buns or croissants work great.
  5. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
