Ingredients
- 150 g ground chicken
- 6 broccoli florets
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)
Instructions
- Steam the broccoli florets until soft, about 5 minutes, then mash or finely chop them in a bowl.
- Add the ground chicken, egg, breadcrumbs, grated cheese, and garlic powder to the bowl with the broccoli.
- Mix everything together until well combined and evenly distributed.
- Using slightly wet hands, form the mixture into small nugget shapes.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Cook the nuggets for about 3–4 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Let the nuggets cool slightly before serving to your baby or toddler.
Notes
- Ensure nuggets are fully cooled and cut into appropriate sizes for younger babies.
- You can bake the nuggets at 180°C (350°F) for about 15 minutes as an alternative to pan frying.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- These nuggets can be frozen and reheated for quick toddler meals.
