Ingredients
- 2 chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 package puff pastry sheets
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté the onion until softened, then add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
- Add shredded chicken, paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Stir well and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
- Remove the skillet from heat and mix in the mozzarella cheese and parsley.
- Cut the puff pastry into squares and spoon the chicken filling into the center of each square.
- Fold the pastry over the filling to form parcels and seal the edges with a fork.
- Brush the tops with beaten egg and place the parcels on the prepared baking tray.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown and crisp.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- You can substitute mozzarella with cheddar or feta cheese.
- Serve with a fresh salad or dipping sauce.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
