Description

These Chicken Tostada Bites are a fun and flavorful appetizer made with crispy wonton wrappers, shredded chicken, beans, cheese, and fresh toppings. Perfect for parties or game day snacks.


Ingredients

  • 12 wonton wrappers
  • 1 cup cooked shredded chicken
  • 1/2 cup refried beans
  • 1/2 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup diced red onions (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Lightly brush both sides of each wonton wrapper with olive oil and press them into a mini muffin tin to form cups.
  3. Bake the wonton cups for 8–10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Let them cool slightly.
  4. In a bowl, mix shredded chicken with taco seasoning.
  5. Fill each wonton cup with a small spoonful of refried beans.
  6. Add a layer of seasoned chicken on top of the beans.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the chicken.
  8. Return the cups to the oven and bake for another 5–7 minutes until cheese is melted.
  9. Remove from oven and top with sour cream, diced tomatoes, red onions (if using), and fresh cilantro.
  10. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • You can use rotisserie chicken to save time.
  • Add jalapeños or hot sauce for a spicy kick.
  • These can be assembled ahead and baked just before serving.
