Description
These Chicken Tostada Bites are a fun and flavorful appetizer made with crispy wonton wrappers, shredded chicken, beans, cheese, and fresh toppings. Perfect for parties or game day snacks.
Ingredients
- 12 wonton wrappers
- 1 cup cooked shredded chicken
- 1/2 cup refried beans
- 1/2 cup shredded Mexican cheese blend
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
- 1/4 cup diced red onions (optional)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for brushing)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Lightly brush both sides of each wonton wrapper with olive oil and press them into a mini muffin tin to form cups.
- Bake the wonton cups for 8–10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Let them cool slightly.
- In a bowl, mix shredded chicken with taco seasoning.
- Fill each wonton cup with a small spoonful of refried beans.
- Add a layer of seasoned chicken on top of the beans.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese over the chicken.
- Return the cups to the oven and bake for another 5–7 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Remove from oven and top with sour cream, diced tomatoes, red onions (if using), and fresh cilantro.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
Notes
- You can use rotisserie chicken to save time.
- Add jalapeños or hot sauce for a spicy kick.
- These can be assembled ahead and baked just before serving.
