Description

Rich and fudgy brownies topped with a creamy chocolate mousse layer, perfect for chocolate lovers.


Ingredients

  • 2 ounces unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup Imperial Sugar Extra Fine Granulated Sugar
  • 2 whole eggs
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 cup mini marshmallows
  • 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease and flour an 8-inch baking dish or line it with foil and spray with non-stick spray.
  2. In a bowl, combine the melted chocolate with vegetable oil. Add sugar and eggs. Mix until well combined.
  3. Stir in flour, salt, and baking powder until the batter is smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a tester comes out mostly clean.
  5. Remove from the oven and let the brownies cool completely in the pan.
  6. To make the mousse, heat marshmallows, chocolate chips, and milk in a saucepan over low heat, stirring until melted and smooth. Remove from heat and cool completely.
  7. Whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gradually fold in the cooled chocolate mixture until fully combined and stiff peaks reform.
  8. Spread the mousse evenly over the cooled brownies.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set before serving.
