Ingredients
- 2 apples, peeled and diced
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons water
- 2 cups nonfat plain Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Instructions
- Peel and dice the apples into small bite-sized pieces.
- In a small skillet over medium heat, combine the diced apples, cinnamon, honey or maple syrup, and water.
- Cook for about 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are tender and caramelized.
- Remove from heat and let the apples cool slightly.
- Divide the Greek yogurt into two bowls.
- Top each bowl with the warm cinnamon apples and chopped nuts.
- Serve immediately and enjoy.
Notes
- You can use maple syrup instead of honey to make this recipe vegan (with plant-based yogurt).
