Ingredients

  • 2 cans cinnamon rolls (8 count each)
  • 5 large apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 8 oz whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • Caramel sauce (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Press cinnamon rolls into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish to form a crust layer. Bake for 10 minutes and remove from oven.
  3. In a large skillet, cook chopped apples with granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice over medium heat until tender (about 10 minutes). Let cool.
  4. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Fold in whipped topping.
  5. Spread half of the cream cheese mixture over the cinnamon roll crust.
  6. Top with half of the apple mixture.
  7. Repeat layers with remaining cream cheese mixture and apples.
  8. Drizzle caramel sauce over the top.
  9. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
