Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

- 2–3 tablespoons milk (for frosting)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and smooth.
- Add the eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract; mix until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
- In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup granulated sugar with 1 teaspoon cinnamon and sprinkle evenly over the batter.
- Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before frosting.
- To make the frosting, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth and spread evenly over the cooled bars. Let set before slicing.
