Description

Cinnamon Roll Bliss Bars are soft and chewy dessert bars packed with warm cinnamon flavor and topped with a creamy vanilla frosting. They deliver the nostalgic taste of classic cinnamon rolls in an easy one-pan treat ready in about 45 minutes.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for cinnamon topping)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar (for frosting)
  • 23 tablespoons milk (for frosting)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and smooth.
  3. Add eggs, sour cream, and vanilla extract. Mix until fully combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  6. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  7. In a small bowl, mix 1/4 cup granulated sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Sprinkle evenly over the batter.
  8. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan.
  10. Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to create a smooth frosting. Spread over the cooled bars, slice, and serve.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the batter to keep the bars soft and tender.
  • Let the bars cool completely before frosting to prevent melting.
  • Add chopped walnuts or pecans for extra crunch.
  • Stir in raisins, dried cranberries, or chocolate chips for variation.
  • Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
  • Freeze unfrosted bars for up to 2 months and frost after thawing.
