Ingredients
- 8 slices of white bread (crusts removed)
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tbsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 cup milk
- Butter for greasing pan
- Optional: maple syrup or extra powdered sugar for serving
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, mix cinnamon and sugar together.
- Flatten each bread slice with a rolling pin.
- Spread a thin layer of the cream cheese mixture on each slice of bread.
- Roll each slice tightly into a roll-up.
- In another bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.
- Dip each roll-up into the egg mixture, coating well.
- Heat butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the roll-ups in the skillet, turning frequently, until all sides are golden brown.
- Remove from skillet and immediately roll in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Serve warm with maple syrup or a dusting of powdered sugar, if desired.
